Public website profiles
When you submit a URL, RankGen fetches public website content and extracts a compact profile. The sample may include business names, service descriptions, public contact details and structured data. Profiles may be cached for up to six hours.
Buyer questions and external processing
Approved questions and the location context you supply are sent to a private retrieval service to perform observations. The observation request does not intentionally include your account email or password. Do not enter confidential, sensitive or personal information into buyer questions. Third-party service processing is subject to that service’s applicable terms.
Accounts and member history
Account information supports sign-in and email verification. Verified members can retain profiles, questions, location context and retrieval observations for one primary website. Member history is private to the account through authenticated endpoints.
Raw evidence and retention
Raw retrieval responses, associated site profiles and usage metadata are retained privately in encrypted database storage for audit and reprocessing. Anonymous session access expires after one hour. Anonymous observation records are eligible for deletion after 24 hours during scheduled cleanup. Member records remain until deleted or an account-removal request is fulfilled. Backup copies may persist according to hosting backup retention.
Cookies, security and abuse controls
WordPress authentication uses cookies. Requests also involve ordinary server logs and request metadata. RankGen uses temporary session tokens and keyed, non-reversible hashes of request identifiers for rate limits. It does not access unrelated local files or private browsing history.
Research and aggregation
This retrieval release does not publish member questions, raw answers or account information as shared datasets. Future aggregate research will require an appropriate participation mechanism and updated disclosures. Historical research preferences are preserved; they do not automatically enroll this new retrieval dataset.
Your controls
Members can export and delete retrieval history in the dashboard. Deleting new retrieval history does not automatically remove older imported evidence or the account itself. For account deletion, older-data deletion or privacy questions, use the business contact page.
No payment collection in this release
Premium billing is not enabled. If paid services or materially different data uses are introduced, this notice will be updated.
