Clear answers about the evidence.
Is RankGen free?
The public profile and current report are free. Free membership adds saved future observations for one primary website. Usage limits apply. There is no active premium billing.
Does RankGen give my website an AI score or rank?
No. RankGen reports observed retrieval, citation and mention states, source lists, query paths and factual counts.
Does one observation represent every answer engine?
No. An observation applies to its retrieval environment, question, time and location context. Other systems may behave differently.
Why does a question turn into a different search?
Answer systems may reformulate a buyer question or issue subsequent searches. RankGen preserves the wording it receives. It does not force an exact keyword query in the normal workflow.
Can I change the questions?
Yes. Review, edit, remove or add questions before approving the session. Up to five can be submitted. RankGen does not silently rewrite an edited question.
Why does a field say Unavailable?
It means the observation did not expose enough data to establish Yes or No. It does not mean your site failed.
What is saved when I join?
Verified members save future observations, their site profile and buyer questions for one primary website. Anonymous reports do not transfer automatically; export them before leaving. Older imported records remain preserved separately.
Will this guarantee citations?
No. The report can guide a useful investigation, but it does not establish universal ranking factors or guarantee how any answer system will respond.
Why are live observations awaiting activation?
The private observation service has not been configured or is temporarily unavailable. You can still inspect a site profile, edit buyer questions and export them. RankGen does not display simulated results as live evidence.
